Foreign Degree

If you earned your degree outside of the United States, you must submit the following in addition to the required documents for the application.

  • Course-by-course evaluation from one of the Texas Education Agency's evaluation providers.
  • TOEFL iBT score report - If your country isn't listed below, then all four parts of the TOEFL iBT are required with an acceptable passing score on the Speaking portion of 24, the Listening portion of 22, the Reading portion of 22, and the Writing portion of 21.

New candidates with foreign degrees from the countries listed below are exempted from the Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test (TOEFL-iBT) testing requirement as long as the degree earned is from an institution of higher education on the SBEC-approved list of countries.
